Sunscreen and the myths
In order to shield your skin from the harmful UV rays, it’s important to use a sunscreen lotion (of at least of SPF 30). However, not many know that it is important to apply the sunscreen 15 minutes prior to sun exposure.
For sensitive and oily skin, a mineral-based sunscreen can be used.
It is best to prevent stepping out in the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., which is known as the peak time for the exposure to UV radiation.
Also, if you are out in the sun for long, it is necessary to reapply the sunscreen every two to three hours.
