Some beverage brands have been known for roping in the renowned celebrities and biggest cricketers. Recently a beverage company brought together cricketer Virender Sehwag and actor Ranbir Kapoor to endorse their aerated drink. This is one of the many ads which have been made keeping the World Cup fever in mind.

Cricketers go topless!

The bigger the brand, the more names endorse it. The most popular ad of this season has been that of a fizzy drink where big cricketers were roped in to not just endorse the company but also go topless for an ad. Cricketers Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli were amongst the few who bared their torsos for a popular beverage brand in an ad.

Gautam Gambhir in ads

Cricketer Gautam Gambhir and actor Saif Ali Khan were seen together in an ad endorsing an alcohol brand in the recent past. Gautam has been seen in may other adds too for toothpaste companies etc.

Genelia and Virat: funky duo

Sometimes female celebrities have also been paired with cricketers to create a sizzling chemistry for an ad and win over the consumers. The recent example can be taken from actress Genelia D’Souza and cricketer Virat Kohli, who have been roped in together for a watch and merchandise company.

Shah Rukh teamed with Sachin

Even in the past there have been popular endorsements with partnership between film stars and cricketers. Bollywood superstar SRK and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar’s jodi had come together to endorse a beverage brand. It was one of the most popular advertisements of its time.

Saif and Dhoni make a great duo

Cricketers endorsing for big brands is a regular feature in the advertising industry now. Celebrity endorsements bring the much required publicity to the brand, and with World Cup going on, a lot of big brands have roped in cricketers to advertise for them. One of the most popular endorsements this season has been of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Saif Ali Khan for a company that manufactures chips.
